Joel Joseph Wairimu is a professional actor and acting coach. He was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. He has received international recognition and received several awards for his work like best actor in the 2012 Durban International Film Festival, the Kenya Film Festival, and the 2013 Nashville International Film Festival. He was also nominated for the best african actor award in the Africa Film Development Awards in 2013. In his quest to improve performance, he attended acting workshops in the Durban Talent Campus and the Berlinale Talents, South Africa. He is best known for his roles in Nairobi Half Life and Kibera Kid. He has also participated as a member of jury in different festivals.
